Selling my very rare 1998 L series diesel Camel Trophy Freelander.
Left hand drive.
Early rare Freelanders are really starting to move value wise, please do your own research on this, and see the other car in Belgium that is for sale.
As standard these cars were highly uprated and came fitted with Safety Devices roll cage, dog guard, under body protection, Warn winch (M5000) and control, winch mounting plate, waterproof seat covers, and CB radio to mention just a few parts! Obviously the car is topped with the standard Safety Devices roof rack and extra four spotlights.
This Freelander was used by the Canary island team on the international selections for the 1998 Tierra del Fuego Camel Trophy ( Canary island team Jose Hernandez and Alvaro de Orleans)
The A bar and roof rack have been re-powder coated. This
vehicle does have a history and this is reflected in the body work. I've tried
to display these in the photos and adds heaps of character to this
vehicle. I have also sourced the reare radio antenna mount and a water container for the rear load area. Also the car has genuine rubber mats front rear and also load bay.
Mechanically the car is excellent. I have fitted a reconditioned gearbox, reconditioned the VCU, replaced the turbo, fixed the engine oil leaks, undersealed the car, and replaced the 5 tyres with five aggressive off road tyres. Everything works as it should and I drove the car to France from the UK, with no problems. There is no unpleasant rust underneath and it requires no welding.
Land Rover France have confirmed they can supply a certificate of conformity to register the car in Europe. I can assist with this process
roof lining is sagging but i have an excellent second hand one to go with the vehicle.
Happy to facilitate export if required. The car can be viewed in France, following social distancing rules. I can deliver for a reasonable rate per KM. Happy to hold the car in secure storage for a while until you can collect, but i would ask for a deposit to do this.
If you make an offer then please be prepared to pay a £1000 deposit within 24 hours if you offer is accepted. Also please be prepared to collect within two weeks, unless otherwise agreed in advance of your offer.
no scams, I am wise to them all :)
