Auxi-le-Château is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in northern France. A farming town located 28 miles northwest of Arras at the junction of the D938, D933 and D941 roads. The Authie river flows through the town, which once divided the commune into two parts, one in the Pas-de-Calais and the other in the Somme department. The 15th century church is an amazing structure which dominates the town. It is a centre for early music where concerts are performed as with weddings and for weekly worship. The Hotel de Ville (Mayor's Offices) situated at the bottom of the hill is the focal point of the town and beautifully lit in the evenings and has a charming chime to it's clock. The local streets are cobbled and have ornate street lamps.
