1972 Mercedes Benz 280CE

This beautiful 1972 Mercedes Benz 280 CE was a barn find in the south of France in January 2021. Since then, it has had a complete overall both mechanically and aesthetically. The engine is sound and anyone that knows these will know that they are pretty bullet proof. This was the first year of the electric fuel injection. It has had new sub frame mounts which meant that everything has been dropped out to gain access. The floor pans have been re-done to eliminate rust and make waterproof (a common problem with these). It has been fully serviced with any issues having been dealt with. New starter motor, new leads, manifold gaskets etc etc. Internally we have replaced the centre console, new carpets, new seat belts, and a pretty comprehensive stereo, speakers and subwoofer giving sensational sound. We have replaced the wheels back to original steels with matching hubcaps, new white walled tyres. A long list of expenditure to get this beautiful classic back as it should be and on the road.
Being a barn find, it sadly has no history (hence the price). But we have in our possession a copy of the original manufacture card showing that it has been re-sprayed and the engine was replaced at some point.
The car is currently in the South of France and soon to return home to the UK and be re-registered. Any video calls, videos, photos or any other information available on request by genuinely interested parties. (THE CAR IS NOW BACK IN THE UK). I personally drove the vehicle from the south of France, around 600 miles and it drove without fault.
This is a rare car and to my knowledge, there are less than 5 registered on the road in the UK. It makes for a fantastic wedding car with the pillar less coupe design.
